Day 6

We began with some new songs.  We learned that it is not always good to begin with new songs!  The Homesteader Song was attempted, after which our palates needed to be cleansed with the Jeep Song (twice, yes it was that bad).  We then attempted a song about the elements....  we had to cleanse  again after, this time we sung the Sun Song.  Yikes!  We had some more peep intros this morning but they will not be up on the Peep tab today because we forgot to take pictures.

During Werk beZerk everyone was busy all over the place.  We had our first radio shows.  These were funny because the new DJs needed to learn how to use the equipment.  They were also funny because both of the morning DJs kept playing the same songs over and over again.  The radio station manager was full of giggles as she tried to help her new employees into their grooves.

In the afternoon once again, everyone was all over the place.  Red Feather gave a safe tool use class to those homesteaders who were ready to learn.  G'lant, the banker and town clerk, wanted to know how many fish fingers the town should have in their bank account (he must be planning to spend it).  Rolph told him he would need to hire a survey team and figure out how many acres the town had claimed as its center to find the figure.  G'lant then hired JohnB to survey the town about how much land they used.  This is a classic example of why english is a very confusing language.  Rolph caught JohnB with a clipboard asking all of the other peeps how much of their acre string they used.   When asked what he was doing he replied, "G'lant hired me to survey the town."  G'lant then hired a larger survey team to actually survey the town center.  While this was going on we had several other peeps frantically putting together the first edition of "The Red Fez"- Fez's very own newspaper!

Town meeting was handed over from the FED to the newly elected townsfolk.  It was a very chaotic meeting.  As moderator, Cassandra called the meeting to order.  There was no agenda set in advance so this was put to the crowd.  Discussion went quickly underway about the symbol for fish fingers.  Jim asked Rolph for notes from yesterday's meeting, I think Jim may have imagined that MUCH more was accomplished yesterday because Rolph had nothing useful to share- he said something about the new sheep and taking advantage of the situation.  Many peeps had suggestions for the currency symbol: a human finger, human fingerprints with smiley faces drawn on, a fish with a big finger on it with a line drawn through it, FF; also there were some suggestions for symbols for the custards.

A motion was made to vote on the symbol.  The secretary was asked to read back the suggestions.  The vote could not proceed because the secretary was not listening to all of the options and did not write them down.  She was only able to recall one option.  The moderator asked the public to help recall all of the ideas for the secretary.  During this time a bit of chaos brewed.  JohnB lost his chemical pants and his bones were showing.  It was extremely distressing!  Jim yelled, "Mererarer, keep this meerting under cuntru!"  I'm pretty sure the moderator was unable to understand him.  Finally the secretary read off the options:  "finger with smiley face, real fish with a finger, double Fs."  Double Fs won, discussion on the symbol for custards ensued.  A lot of letters were being thrown around as well as a peep or two and more chaos.  It was very hard to pay attention, there was SO much disorder.  Eventually this discussion was either tabled or voted on, I'm not sure which, however the meeting ended and we played Ninja!
